Assignments

All collegiate assignments are made by the acting coordinator for collegiate tennis. The number of officials needed for a given match is determined by the individual coaches, although specific tournaments or conference regulation may have further requirements. The coordinator also advises as appropriate in this area. Collegiate officials must be certified by the USTA and must complete USTA ITA clinic for the current season. Individual assignments are based on ability and experience, though learning opportunities are afforded new and developing officials in supervised situations. Officials may indicate availability by completing an Availability Form and returning to the coordinator. Assignments are usually for Referee or Rover; duties and and responsibilities of each are listed in Procedures for Officials.
